About Alexina Nyamwaya
Alexina Nyamwaya is an operations and project management leader with over 10 years of experience driving ICT-driven research, organizational governance, and donor-funded digital initiatives across Kenya and East Africa. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with ACCA financial qualifications, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Master of Commerce in Management Science at Strathmore University.
She served as Project Coordinator and Financial Accountant at Strathmore University’s @iLabAfrica Research and Innovation Centre, where she managed grant-funded project lifecycles, institutional audits, and compliance reporting across complex multi-stakeholder programs. Throughout her career, Alexina has supported major regional and international technology initiatives, including coordinating project teams and financial frameworks for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) & Huawei Connect2Recover initiative, the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA) spectrum studies, and IoT-enabled Disaster Prediction Management programs. Additionally, she has spearheaded partner engagements, logistics, and evaluation frameworks for key development initiatives, such as the Israel–Kenya Youth Climate Conference and regional programs advancing digital skills and AI adoption for educators and institutions.
At Wireless Planet, Alexina serves as Operations Manager, leading company operations, process optimization, and project governance across last-mile connectivity, IoT, and digital access initiatives. She oversees cross-functional teams, manages financial and donor compliance, and aligns multi-stakeholder partnerships to deliver scalable technology deployments that strengthen resilience and bridge the digital divide across Africa.
