Digital Hubs

Wireless Planet’s digital hubs are set to be deployed across various rural counties of Kenya with the plans to expand in Eastern Africa. The hubs are to serve as community spaces that are able to provide the following:

Spaces of Internet access by communities (“traditional Cyber spaces”)

Spaces for co-working by entrepreneurs and startups.

Spaces for innovation based on 4IR technologies

Spaces to serve as training centers.

Spaces to provide reading and research environments by researchers, students and children

Spaces that can provide backhaul for network access by nearby institutions

Spaces for cached content and education labs.

Presently, there are two digital Hubs – One in Yala (the founding hub) and the one in Kinangop (the “Mega Wireless”).
